Amanda & Simon’s Engagement Session
Sunday, August 31st, 2008Unfortunately, I was already booked for Amanda and Simon’s wedding date… but I was thrilled to be able to provide them with both engagement portraits and a bridal portrait session to augment their wedding coverage! Amanda works to help children from around the world find loving adoptive homes here in the US, and Simon works to help families escape from debt and live a financially sound lifestyle. These are two people who are beautiful inside and out!

Autumn’s Bridal Portraits
Monday, August 25th, 2008This portrait session was my first set of bridals in my new studio, and I was really trying to channel my hero Richard Avedon for the white-on-white images. I was thrilled that one of these earned an Accolade of Excellence in WPPI’s International Second Half 2008 8×10 Print Competition!

Carrie & Eric’s Wedding
Saturday, August 16th, 2008Eric: you are a lucky man to have married such a gorgeous girl! This wedding took place down in Murfreesboro on a beautiful day. One of the key memories for me was Carrie’s sister performing the song that she wrote for a rapt audience… I also particularly love the shot of Carrie and Eric dancing, as I caught a glimpse of them through a full dance floor.

Dee Dee’s Bridal Portraits
Thursday, August 14th, 2008We photographed Dee Dee’s bridal portraits at beautiful Riverwood Mansion:one of my favorite locations for bridals because it offers beautiful indoor and outdoor options. That comes in handy when the weather doesn’t cooperate for outdoor portraits, as with Dee Dee’s session. Fortunately, the interior of Riverwood is beautiful and we were able to get some stunning portraits of this beautiful lady!

Daniel Shaw
Sunday, August 10th, 2008
Daniel Shaw is a brilliant photojournalist, and he provides an exciting second perspective for those of my clients who select one of my two-photographer packages. He has a tremendous ability to recede into the background, carefully observing the scene before him and selecting the decisive moment to chronicle. He’s more than just a “second shooter:” Dan is a unique talent and a photographic voice that I feel complements my own superbly.
Dan spends his weeks working as a speech pathologist, and spending time with his beautiful wife Katie and their two lovely children.
