IMPORTANT NOTICE
Friday, May 4th, 2012Dear friends, clients, brides, and photographers,
Its been a wonderful few years, and I cannot tell you how much working with some of you has meant to me. However, effective early June of this year, Evan Baines Photography will be closing its doors permanently. I have managed to earn a tremendous opportunity for an exciting new (old) direction in my life, but this will preclude any professional photographic commissions. I will, however, continue to be a photographer for the rest of my life, and I expect to keep some version of this site updated in the future with my personal work.
If you are a current or past client, rest assured that I will execute my remaining professional obligations with enthusiasm. I have a handful of weddings and assignments left, and I hope to go out with a bang! I want to be sure that I look back on the end of my photographic career with pride.
Thank you to everyone who has shared part of this journey with me!

Sunday, February 19th, 2012My wife is amazing on camera. She had already had makeup done by Sherita Leslie as we were helping out modeling for someone else’s shoot today, and I took advantage by getting a portrait afterwards.
Technical Details:
Shen Hao 4×5 view camera, Fujinon 240mm f/9 lens, Ilford FP4+ developed in DD-X.
Single strip softbox camera left, large silver reflector camera right.
Shot wide open at f/9, with a good bit of forward swing and a little right tilt to get both eyes sharp.
