Its always nice to work with a couple that I know really gets what I’m all about, and Terrie & Troy are that kind of couple. Troy immediately endeared himself to me at our consultation when he compared my work to “something you might have seen in Life Magazine back in the 40′s or 50′s.” (When such brilliant photographers as Robert Capa, Margaret Bourke-White, and Alfred Eisenstaedt, worked for the publication). There is no surer way to the heart of a photographer than to compare him to his heroes, even if he’s not fit to have held their lens caps.

Troy proposed to Terrie atop a hill in Percy Warner Park, so we returned to that hill overlooking the Steeplechase for their engagement portraits. We had beautiful weather, and I had beautiful subjects with which to work. They were naturals on camera.

Troy has a Rubicon (Jeep), so any member of the Wrangler fraternity has to get at least one photo with it…
