Amy’s Portraits
Thursday, February 11th, 2010Amy Dale is a talented Memphis Wedding Photographer and a good friend of ours. I was thrilled and flattered that she contacted me to shoot some head-shots for her website, and also some portraits for her family to enjoy. So she drove up here to Nashville yesterday (braving some awful traffic), and we had a fun studio session. The incomparable Amy Lynn Larwig provided her makeup expertise on this shoot. Amy Dale is also a talented musician, and the guitar in one of the shots has a great deal of significance to her.

Costa’s Portraits
Friday, January 29th, 2010You may remember Costa from one of my favorite engagement sessions a while back… He and Amy have become good friends of ours, and we were thrilled to have him stop by the studio last night for some wine, music, and portraits. Costa is of Portuguese heritage, so we drank Taylor Fladgate 20yr and listened to Amália Rodrigues while we took these photographs…

CariAnn & Scott’s Engagement Session
Monday, January 25th, 2010I’ll confess I was a bit worried on Saturday that the wind and brisk temperature might force us to reschedule the shoot, but fortunately CariAnn and Scott are an outdoorsy couple who were enthusiastic about getting some portraits made. CariAnn and Scott wanted some of these photographs to include their four-legged family members, and I was happy to accommodate that wish (I love dogs!).
We enjoyed great light, and had a lot of fun shooting in Franklin and then later in downtown Nashville. Thanks for making me your engagement photographer guys!

First Shoot in the New Studio

We were thrilled to have the unbelievably talented Amy Lynn Brown (formerly Larwig) on hand to provide her brilliance with hair and makeup, and it was a total pleasure to photograph the lovely Cardin McKinney. New Office/Party
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010After a lot of work, the office in our new studio is up and running! Its great to have a place to go to work every day! Note that the “office” number is now my cell phone, and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

For all of our photographer friends here in Nashville: David Bean and I are throwing a party here at the studio to welcome all of the photographers visiting for Imaging USA and/or the Digital Wedding Forums convention this Sunday at 7pm. We will be serving wine and light hors d’oeuvres. If you are a photographer and are interested in attending, please email either me or David so that we can get a generalized idea of how many of you will be coming.
