CariAnn & Scott’s Wedding

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

CariAnn & Scott live here in Nashville, but chose to travel to Tucson Arizona to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch on the edge of Saguaro National Park for their wedding. After their engagement session, I was thrilled when they decided that they wanted me to travel out there with them to document the nuptials! This worked out particularly well, because I had the opportunity to bring along my good friend Spencer Boerup, Tucson’s premier wedding & portrait photographer. We were also thrilled to have the assistance of Travis Williams, another excellent photographer in Tucson.

I love photographing weddings around the country, because its exciting and challenging to work with different landscapes and qualities of light. We had spectacular weather, and the Tanque Verde is one of the finest venues in the Tucson area. What more could a wedding photographer ask for?

Among my favorite moments in the session were CariAnn’s father presenting her with a necklace before the ceremony, which was a subtly poignant exchange. I also love the first of the dress-donning photos, as you can see CariAnn, her bridesmaids, and her mother all focused and involved.

I’ve decided to present this wedding in the form of a slideshow for a change of pace. You can enlarge this movie to watch it in full 1080p HD.
